The diversity in India is mind boggling.. as facts reveal themselves through various means.. like meeting these 2 businessmen from Bombay who personally go and market their clothing line across India.. people who have seen poverty from close.. and people who have seen the disparity that is like no where else....
This is India.. a new India which probably is caught in a huge shifting time cycle... where old and new as ALWAYS are more at logger heads than probably before.. but then, we all live as Human beings through at least 1 such a shift in our life time.. at the most 2... but whenever we live through such a situation, we need to remember that it will pass.. either for the good or for the worse..
Neverthless, the experience of living through it either through a young age, or a middle age or through old age.. .is an experience in itself.. something you can't share with your above or below generations.. or something you might only remember as a passing phase.
New Year celebrations also have changed their phases and faces.. more commercialization less understanding of values... more disparity of thoughts... what I found discussing with middle age people like me is that we are all in the same thought cycle about how things have gone bad... from the good old times...
while the newer generations has nothing to compare this to at their individual level and they might not understand what their elders are talking about.. they would probably be more busy trying to set their lives in order.. whichever phase they are passing through.. either college, higher school, new job, job threats.. new romances.. but then, the perspectives will be so different...
this is life.. this is diversity.. this is India.. and these are but Very Interesting Times.
