Who created this Frankinstein Monster?
The world's self appointed policeman US has been waging a war in Pakistan-Afganistan Border for years now to eliminate Jihadi Terror. George Bush gave all his support to the military regime of Gen.Pervez Musharaff calling Pakistan an ally of US in fighting terror. The General enjoyed a very cordial relationship with white house and always managed to come clean on allegations of cross border terrorism lodged by India. The return of Democracy in Pakistan necessitated in the painful exit of the General much to discomfiture of US Administration. The new bonhomie between Nawaz Shariff and Asif Ali Zardari appeared to have brought stability in Pakistan politics. But destiny willed otherwise. Fissures have been creeping in the alliance. That is beyond this story. But in the aftermath of Mumbai attack when the entire Pakistani Establishemtn was in a mode of self denial even against the backdrop of incontrovertible evidence produced Zardari observed the root cause o f this menace. Zardari claimed that forces who created, abetted terrorists based on religion to throw away Russians from Afganistan are resposible for the present state of affairs. It is universally acknowledged fact that US has been shaping policies concerning only their self interets whether it is Vietnam,Cuba,Venezuela Middle east, Iraq or elsewhere. US is silent when Dr.Abdul Qadir Khan clandestinely sold nuclear centrifuge technology to countries proscribed by US administration whereas they want UNSC to issue sanctions against Iran and S Korea ( Korea has brought peace with US Administration) US is a mute spectator to Israeli aggression in Gaza stip and in fact clandestinely encourages it. When it suited US interests, Talibans were provided arms and ammunition to fight Russian soldiers in Afganistan. Not until Osama Bin Laden ordered his Al-Queda to bring down pentagon and WTC through daring air raids, US espoused the cause of this terrorist outfit. If the Asian Region is reeling under the threat of Jihadi terror, the bucks stops at the oval office of US President.
