What struck me immensely was the devotion to duty and patriotism exhibited by 6 class IV employees of Mantrayala who guarded our national flag from getting burnt. Risking their lives these honorable men were atop the building below which flames and smoke was engulfing the whole building. They could have got themselves grievously injured themselves .They just did not care for their personal safety and were awaiting orders from their superiors to lower the flag. Orders were not forthcoming for obvious reasons. They did their duty in exemplary fashion as they would do under normal circumstances and then were rescued by firemen.

These Karmayogis did deserve the attention they richly deserved. They received little attention from the media. They ought to have been honored with state honors for their exemplary devotion to duty. I salute these heroes who are epitomes of supreme sacrifice and patriotism. How come RSS has not come forward to honor them having usurped patent rights on patriotism.
