Somewhere midway through Priyanka was drafted in as a co compaigner and the press went gaga about it. They claimed Priyanka has the charisma of her Grand mother and a better crowd puller and vote catcher than Rahul. Priyanka was polite in admitting that her job was to assit her brother in his mission .Then the press said Akhilesh is equally charming and appealiing and favored him to Rahul. They were being unkind to the work and sincereity shown by Rahul which probably only his late father could have matched.

Muslims who have been traditional voters for the party have changed sides ever since Babri Masjid was pulled down during PV Narasimha Rao days. They still feel Maulvi Mulayam is a far better choice. I may be labelled communal but the fact remains Indian Muslims have been lacking in gratitude. Mahatma gave his life for them and if they are thankful his picture should adorn every muslim household. Congress party has battled all along for their rights, Sachar committe has recommended certain affirmative action to improve their lots and still the community lives in the days of turkmengate and Nusbundi of Sanjay Gandhi days. Samajwadi party is a regional party and can do precious little to improve their lot and yet Mullahs and Imams openly convass for Samajwadi.

I wish Congress improves it tally in UP considerably lest Rahul be dumped by the party. Rahul has brought a whiff of fresh air in the dirty air politics polluted by self seekers everywhere. This man has fresh ideas, seems to be clean and yearning to do something for the masses,. Let the UP voter give a mandate for this young man to transform our poliltics and the nation
