Enigma called Rahul
Rahul shares some of his father's ideas evident from his poser to students during his whirlwind tour. Bade Ho kar Kaun Banege? He asked this question to which most of our students could not respond positively. His visits to Dalit hamlets, sharing food with them came naturally to him. But is he the future PM material that we are desparately looking for ? Late JRD Tata commented that he could die in peace as India was in safe hands when Rajiv ascended to PM chair. Rahul does not exhibit the flamboyance of his father. In politics it does not pay to be nice. One has to be forthright. Rajiv chose to sideline some bigwigs because he felt that they did not share his vision of India. ButRahul time and again maintains that Dr.Singh is his PM and he has no such ambitions. Dr.Singh and his team of Economists including Dr.Ahluwalia and Chidhambaram have already eroded his party's primary vote bank with thier anti people economic policies. Mayawati is busy taking away a chunk of Dalit and upper caste votes which otherwise was the party's monopoly.Rahul should plunge in to politics with confidence and play a lead role in revitalising the party and convert this into a party of the masses as before. Will he do it ?
