Poverty and Malnutrition in India
In India where many children suffering from malnutrition, several metric ton food grains have damaged in six states due to shortage of storage. Here more poor people in India than in Africa. The Indian states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have 421 million poor people as per the latest study developed by Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initive (OPHI) with UN support. Government could distribute food grains to the poor.
Government should take effective step to eradicate poverty from the country. It's not effective distributing 45 kg food grains to the BPL families. It will be observed that rotten or damaged food grains will reach finally to the poor. All the good things will be stored by the middle man or bureaucrat.
