Delhi Metro alias Blue Line Bus
It was two years ago when Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) started the mandi house, pragati maidan & indrprasta metro stations with 2.5 Lac capacity passengers. Today the scenario is same nothing has changed, if you are the one boarding train from station far from source station and time is office hours than you are facing the worst conditions or you can memorize when you were in Blue Line Buses.
Delhi Metro project had changed the life of many people from providing jobs to changing habbits for saving fuel. DMRC's CEO & MD E. Sreedharan is one of the most admired person of the country, no doubt he had done splendiuos job. Commonwealth games are approaching so DMRC is busy in completing other metro line work in noida, gurgoan, ghaziabad and other delhi regions. menawhile they ignoring the need of extra coaches required on current track routes.
It is still safe and comfortable when metro coaches are almost packed on peak hours but it will not remain same after few years, there is a need to synchronize the demand and suppply for metro facilities, otherwise once a gap is created it will be very tough for Mr. Sreedharan to recover from the worst conditions if happened.
Glassgow incident is still fresh in our minds, Delhi metro is becoming populated day by day adding new passengers so a delicious dish is ready for terrorists, DMRC should be attaintive and ready to fight with such incidents, need is to get rid of crowd on stations providing more trains, decrease the travel time on long routes, reduce the crowd by increasing the number of coaches, risk management should be there so the threats of property as well life loss can be minimized.
DMRC, if didn't keep in mind the need of the passenger's comfort and safety than they will not go far than Blue Line Buses. We can see them as new air conditioned Blue Line buses running on tracks, the only difference is now they will not run over any human body.
