The Problem Is-We Talk Too Much!
I do read Forbes
Perhaps, I agree with Mr. Madhavan Nyar, when he said media wants sensation and not ready to print real story. It's obvious, but then please don't blame them too. They are few human brains behind sensational stories broadcasted all the time and being human they are prone to err. But then how come we aligned ourselves to one group, who were biased about ISRO’s achievements when Chandrayan-I collapsed? Was it that simple?
Actually, Forbes is just one story. They hurriedly ran interview of ISRO Chief, asking about the achievements of the Moon missions. Had they waited for few days, they would have got all answers. But Alas! That's not going to happen. We hurriedly concluded that Moon mission was carried out in darkest hours of ISRO's history.
Are we becoming more and more impatient? Are we giving little thought about the subject matter for the sake for TRP? Media has already lost the trust of common man, then why to make fuss about viewer ship? Do we really trust Broadcast media for their trustworthiness? Highlighting failures of something is simple, but understanding the success is more tough. Media-Please stay awake! Open your eyes!
I hope we will learn lessons here. The same media is now applauding ISRO for its achievement of finding water molecules on Moon surface. The question of finding water on Moon eluded human society for last few decades and if ISRO can find answer to such a complex elusive question within its limited pool of talented resources, I think they don't owe any explanation to anyone. If you can't appreciate; please at least don't criticize. ISRO story needs to be read twice before coming to conclusion.
Good Job ISRO! You made me proud!
