Amid the celebrations of good over evil, this happy day brought the dark memories of Mehrauli Bomb blast, which took place in the main Mehrauli market, last year on 27 Sep. And after one year of investigation, we are still clueless about the suspects, who carried the deadly blasts. That brings gloom over enthusiasm of festive mood and brings back the question to my mind- Is Delhi safe place?

Though report says that police have interrogated more than 400 suspects, they failed to find any link between the suspects and blasts carried. The DCP even has prompt answer when asked, who said probe is still on from all possible angles. But then how long is he going to probe it further? Why can't we zero down the investigation on two suspects who carried the bomb with them on motorcycle? Many people saw them on the day; then why investigation is looming behind?

Perhaps, police know it better. We are happy now to celebrate one full blast free year after two consecutive blasts last year. But then the real questions remained un-answered. Are we living in safe zone or waiting for something to happen? Do you trust the investigation carried out by police who are helpless in finding suspects? Remember that, culprits are still moving freely in the city- How can you feel safe then? Its better we learn some lessons from the day one, but the tragedy of this great nations is that we never learn from mistakes. Hope this Vijayadashmi- the festival of victory of good over evil brings some more positive clues to investigation of blasts suspects.
