Gujarat Governor's action is deplorable
There is absolutely no room for gubernatorial activism in the Constitution of India.I deplore Gujarat Governor's action to appoint a pro-congress man as Lokayukta without advice of the council of ministers.But why Narendra Modi has been so shy all these years of appointing a Lokayukta in Gujarat if he is really honest and transparent?
Today Bihar Govt also faces a politically active governor and the result is total anarchy in higher education. Nitish Kumar's lukewarm opposition to Governor's usurption of powers is intriguing.
The 1996 lectureship scam orchestrated by Kidwai and Ranjan wherein the candidates of the ruling and opposition parties' leaders, Bureocrats, judges and senior police officers were appointed out of the spoils system. This again happened in 2003. Later on both chairmen were sent to jail. Infact almost all chairmen of recruitment agencies like BPSC, BSUSC etc appointed during RJD rule were sent to jail.
