Akshay Kumar seems to be going all out to beat Shah Rukh and Aamir at their own game. With Ghajini and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi keeping the cash registers ringing, all eyes are on whether Chandni Chowk To China can do the same. Being the first biggie of 2009 pressure is high on Akshay Kumar to deliver a blockbuster. Last year Akshay's star value got a huge boost with the success of Singh Is Kinng and this time the stakes appear even higher.

According to the makers of CC2C, the film's paid previews have already been sold out. Multiplexes across India's major metros will reportedly be screening five to eight preview shows before the film opens on Jan 16, 2009. The producers claim that CC2C's advance collections have surpassed those of Ghajini.

Now that Ghajini is well into its third week, let's see if CC2C also reaches the Rs 200 crore mark.
