kids misleaded??
should students be given the freedom to select thier own subject for study at school level? "Since school level is considered to be the moulding stage of a future citizen, the selection, decision, and of course the subject taken are decisive and should have deep impact in each one's whole life.Any lapse in the selection or any mis-stepin the turning point may spoil the whole career of the victim.Hence I belive that students should not be given the full freedom to select thier own subject for study at school level. it is a molten stage when the guidence of teachers and parents are most needed, without which a student at his own could not identify his potential, adjudge his taste and appreciate his capacity to take a fair, firm and fruitful binding decision.
It is reported that when a given number of school students at about the age of 10 years were asked of thier ambition in life, most of them opted to become a driver in the future, simply for the reason that the thrilling hero they are daily witnessing was their school bus driver. It was also observed with astonishment that the parents ofmost of themwere either doctors,Engineers or high professionals.if the same question is repeated in the coming years, they may change or upgrade their option as a pilot,a doctor or an engineer. In other words it is a time when one is going after the butterflies and colours instead of fame and future.

He may not be aware of the consequences of his selection at that stage. His selection if allowed should not be the result of a well thought and reality based.Hence instead of giving him the freedom to select his own subject he may be givensuitable guidence, proper advice, andcorrect direction, both by his teachers and by his parents.this of course be done after proper assesment of his tastes, aptitudes and capacity.
