I am writing the blog just after watching Delhi Daredevils wrap the match in the 19th over against the mighty Deccan Charger. But, I am not here to sing the praises of the Delhi batsmen as there is a very little to talk about their batting, with exceptions from the sensible, Karthik and the final onslaught of Dilshan. I am here to talk about one of the rare War of Words in this IPL.

First, the reactions against the 2 wide decisions and then his growling on the face of a badly hit Dilshan, will surely cost Fidel Edwards and the Deccan Chargers some fair play points, but .... as an audience I loved the fight.

Attempting to pull a bouncer from Edwards, Dilshan was badly hit on his helmet . The bowler walked straight to him and gave a piece of his mind and the bowling figures of the next 3 balls were: 4nb, 2, 6, END. and it was the turn for Dilshan to,, speak his mind.

Dilshan who was not getting runs easily, exploded just after the War of Words. This drama added the spice which was lacking in the match.

The faster version of this game is likely to see a lot more of these wars, rivalries and then after years, IPL will be as fierce as the EPL of Football. Can the Fair Play points check these wars???
