At the start of the movie I had few thngs in my mind regarding this movie.
Movie's director (Anurag Kashyap)I dint even know hu is this guy , forget bout his film directing skills.Lately I came to know that he is the same guy hu has directed films like Gulaal(incomplete film), hanuman returns (animated movie)and no smoking(I have nt even heard a single +ve review bout it)

Movie's Character (DEVDAS)Personally I dont feel anythng for this character and have nt seen any of the movie based on it.

Movie's Lead Actor (Abhay Deol). Being a movie buff ,I have seen all his movies and watver may have been the fate of his previous movies, I have loved all his movies cuz f his sheer acting skills.

Emotional Atyaachar: I literally hate this song as it kinds of irritates me and unfortunatelty for the last 4 months , this song has been on the music channels frequently.

I was completely stumped by the vivacity of the movie.My mind had become totally numb at the end of the no-nonsense musical melodrama(?????)The line at the climax of the movie that line when DEv merely escapes from the accident and says, “Bach gaye beta” was a stunner out of nowhere.The first night I saw Dev D, I was so stunned that I came back home, drank myself to such a craziness that I could not get up from the floor on my living room, while the rock version of Emotional Atyachaar(?????) kept blaring in my ears.There was even a rock version of this song. This musik director muss be a complete genius iff he can create somethng like this on a regular basis. Two days and I was still thinking about it.I wanted to stop this mind numbing thought process , so gave the movie another try.May be repeat view would definitely take me out of the hangover . Saw it again, and again I was in the same mess as earlier. Understood that illusion may be temporary but depiction is not even if you keep ur mind clear.Only thing I still remmeber is I was juss waiting for the second half to start and not to forget the countless joints,the colourful paintings on the wall of his room(my personal best wud be the potrayal of Goddess Durga ), unending alcohol mixes,Emotional Atyachaar_rock , and "Bach Gaye Beta".Emotional Atyaachar - Th song which tormented me like anything was a complete hit from the word GO.Even Its rock version was used werever the movie touched its high points.Its amazing how much sense the other songs also make. The way few f the songs were interweaved in the character's sojourn added subtle emotion along with gloss.

The best part about this movie was the positive ending for the characters cuz I beleive a movie is all about the way it ends.Obviously content as well as acting do have their own importance.Apart from that he has done justice to all the characters.This movie is juss nt about DEV ,its also about PARO nd Chanda.Even Chunni's character was also given fair amount of time.I will still stick to the point that Anurag has made an crazy but excellent movie. Yea excellent cuz the way he has depicted the downs of the lives f his characters, I am sure everyone will feel connected to either of them.

Kudos to Anurag as well as others for putting up such a slick , dark ,humourous movie with lot of STYLE.
HATS OFF to musik director for blending 18 songs (isnt it crazy)in the movie.
