These days daily we are getting some news about who was called by CBI and interrogated. Almost all who’s who from the telecom business has been called and inquired. Reserve Bank governor is also not spared. This drama of enquiring of these bigwigs will continue for some more time until people get tired of that. Special news tells us that the enquiry of such n’ such guy was going on for so many hours and all to show that CBI is taking every precaution to spare none.

I wanted to find out what is going to be the outcome of all these enquires. I know earlier also many scams were investigated into and at the end nothing was found. This drama of enquiring is a drama to fool Indian people to show that all care is being taken to protect the interest of people. When I asked my contacts in Delhi about what is the story behind this drama I was told something very interesting and I want to share it with my readers on this blog.

At the beginning of this scam opposition asked government that means MMS what is their share in the loot. MMS arrogantly refused to give anything to opposition from the loot of this scam. This arrogance and show of over confidence of this congressman infuriated the opposition. According to earlier understanding arranged by notable BJP leaders, late Pramod Mahajan and Vajpai, all loots from all scams done by any party shall be shared by all political parties in the parliament equally; however, this arrogance by MMS and his lieutenant Chidambaram showed that, that honorable (?) agreement amongst the political parties was being flouted. Nobody from the parliament was going to accept that and so honorable Advani and Shushama warned MMS and his boys that if they do not accept the previous agreement and politely and simply pass on their share immediately they shall raise hue and cry in the parliament and demand parliamentary enquiry. On that over confident MMS with a big laugh challenged the group and told them that they can do what they please; “Go to hell” MMS snarled.  

You may ask me how this MMS was so confident about it, well, the answer is simple, this time scam was done by a member of Karunanidhi team and so congress people particularly Madame was careless and so the confidence. They knew that not all opposition is going to fall out and by sharing the loot with joining team so much the share for each is going to be bigger. Half opposition was turned on the congress side and so they were not bothered about the main team of BJP. Sharing loot along with BJP and that group which includes SS and such minor parties would reduce the share of the parties and so they were playing this game. BJP is good in demanding their share and the share of their minor parties; I was told that, BJP is very honest, very business like. By then it was news already in the papers and things became rather difficult to manage. These media people are very hungry and not satisfied with any less than the political parties. To share loot with them means loss of the cream of the loot. Finally news became very big and time came to do something fast. MMS became ready to CBI enquiry because CBI is controllable, BJP fought to get parliamentary enquiry but in vein, in the end as it always is, Madame intervened and promised Shushama that the old treaty of Pramod Mahajan will be honored. Things should have settled but that was not the thing to happen. It was too late and now enquiry by CBI as decided by MMS and his party is going on. Minister Sibbal has already given us hint that nothing is going to come out of it accepting a lose of revenue to the exchequer. No body bothered about it since they have nothing to lose. There are citizens to pay taxes.

This is our democracy, very legal and neat. Here, everything happens very legally, even scams. I see on the other side of the world some countries are fighting for democracy, they do not know what happens when there is parliamentary democracy. Our country is an example to show how things can go wrong for the citizens but for the benefit of political parties and their leader. When media is adjusted with, they create impression through their papers that everything is OK.
