Pawar's "fun talk"!!
Last week Sharad Pawar a noted leader from state of Maharashtra had told his followers that there is an opportunity to do double voting since there are two different dates given out by Election Commission and so further suggested to all voters that they go to their native place and vote there and then come in Navi Mumbai and vote again for NCP candidate. He later told them in a group meeting that they carry a small bottle of Hydrogen peroxide in their pocket and as soon as they come out of the polling booth they wipe out ink stain from the nail and skin immediately.
Obviously this created some fervor and that became news to be discussed. Leader of BJP Mr. Kirit Somaiya raised objection for that open appeal to voters to indulge in bogus voting. What surprised me was the fact that no other party raised voice against such a blatant appeal to voters to do bogus voting in a public meeting. Does it mean that all political parties excepting of course, BJP want to indulge in bogus voting? If so then, that is a very serious issue. When Sharad Pawar was asked to explain he said it was "fun talk" and also gave lame justification that it was not a political meeting. What he means by political meeting; if it was not a political meeting why he was talking about voting? He has to explain. Only in a political meeting person talks about voting and so this explanation is not acceptable to any sensible person, we have to see what EC remarks on that feeble excuse. I came to know that every political meeting must be intimated to EC, whereas no intimation of this meeting was given to EC, that means that is one more wrong act on the part of NCP.
Excepting one TV channels of Marathi language "Jai Maharashtra", no other channel was interested in discussing about such an undemocratic appeal and on the top of it to justify that as a "fun talk"!! what type of fun is this? Most TV channels were more interested in holding talks on much less important worn out subjects such as Cricket, Kejriwal, Mulayam Singh and Modi. I want to ask them; why they do not want to discuss Pawar's justification that what he said was just some "fun talk", and need not be taken very seriously? Why Rahul is not giving out his disapproval of this appeal to voters to indulge in bogus voting? Does it mean that all political parties save BJP, who did raise an objection, are wanting bogus voting in the elections ahead? If such an appeal had made by Kejriwal or Modi would NCP accept that as a fun talk? If such an appeal had made by Kejriwal all media in the TV and news papers would have pounced upon Kejriwal and would have broken him down but when Sharad Pawar says it, they maintain studies silence, what explanation they have for this double standard behavior? Several questions come up those need explanation. We see all silent on all political fronts over this very dangerous appeal, I want to know why all this apathy for this subject, or is it that they, media, is already in the pockets of Sharad Pawar?
Some political activists from AAP and Shiv Sen and MNS told me that bogus voting is a normal practice in (rural) Maharashtra and there is nothing new or news of that, however, making such an open appeal is the sign that Sharad Pawar has become too bold this time and that means more pro-crime commitments he may make to encourage people of his party to indulge in many more financial crimes for which his followers are known. My readers may not be aware of the fact that most co-operative banks in Maharashtra were duped by NCP people and Sharad Pawar has been using his clout at the center to protect them. I will not be surprised if this trend of fun making continues some leader from Congress party such as Chidambaram or Manmohan Singh may appeal to people to make black money! If any objection is raised they will continue the justification that Pawar used, it was a fun talk!! How much fun talk is acceptable in this country? We want to know from SC. If EC gives clean chit to Sharad Pawar and his party, in future if people from that party are arrested for bogus voting they will tell that they were making fun; will that be acceptable to EC? I feel we are heading for a "funny democracy", where every serious thing is fun for politicians.
Will EC accept this justification is to be seen. If they accept such talk as "fun talk", and that means any leader can make any appeal and call it "fun talk". This will set a wrong trend amongst political leaders and situation will further spoil. Senior level leaders such as Pawar can make such a dangerous "fun talk", is definitely not an acceptable explanation at any level. I may say that such fun talk is possibly acceptable if made by comedians such as Kapil Sharma but definitely not acceptable by Pawar, a man of high position. When Kapil Sharma was asked about it, he solemnly admitted that such a fun talk he would never do since he respects constitution. However, if we see that, somehow, EC accepted that explanation as 'satisfactory', then that automatically gives us a hint that EC is sold to Pawar. My readers may not be aware that this Pawar has a habit of purchasing Judges and many bureaucrats to protect his people from NCP who are known to be making many financial frauds in banking. Many financial frauds are made by NCP members and all frauds remain undercover, thanks to Sharad Pawar's strong hold on many Judges and bureaucrats in the center.
In addition to what Pawar said at that meeting of his admirers in Navi Mumbai we know one more leader from that party, NCP, Dhananjay Munde had publicly admitted that he had responsibility of organizing for making bogus voting during last election. That clearly proves that this party firmly believes in bogus voting. Bogus voting has been their strategy since earlier periods also. It also means this party has no respect for the constitutional democracy, which solely depends on voting by bona fide citizens. This clearly shows that Pawar's statement was not a solitary statement but was a part of the party's election agenda. In one private talk R.R. Patil told that to be in power bogus voting is essential; all these things summed up will show that NCP is not an honest party and so should be removed from contesting for any elections. Kirit Somaiya complained about this to EC and so Commission is going to take up the issue, I wonder why somebody has to complain for such open appeals against democracy? I want to know why EC does not have its own vigilance department to take action against any wrong action by a political party as well as its leader?
I am of opinion that severe punishment be given to Sharad Pawar by disqualifying his party, NCP, from contesting in the coming elections. No lesser punishment will be acceptable to people of India. If such a severe punishment given to that group of NCP, they and other political leaders will understand that election is not a subject for any "fun talk", and that will discipline all others. I feel this is the test of our EC and I 'hope', they will pass that test by disqualifying this party of Sharad Pawar from coming elections. No lesser punishment shall be acceptable. If EC fails, as it is most likely going to fail since, Pawar has already began to offer some money (in crores probably!) to cool down EC boss. Unfortunately, if this happens, we shall have next election full of bogus votes and that will tilt results in the most unexpected manners. BJP shall suffer most as they shall never indulge in bogus voting at any expense. Many other parties may take advantage and indulge in bogus voting and that may tilt the balance and may be, we get the most unwelcome government at the center.
I also came to know that Congress party is having some software that can do voting automatically in position where citizens have not voted, that means if you do not vote until 4 pm, this software will do voting in your place and that will be for, of course, Congress. So if you are voting for congress then you need not go to vote because that software shall do it but if you are not in favor of Congress then you must cast your vote to the party of your choice, otherwise your vote will be going for Congress! Congress party has been using that software since last election only in some places but this time they may use it all over! May be, cry for bogus vote by NCP leader Sharad Pawar is as a reaction to this Congress party's new strategy.
I am sure in the next meeting Sharad Pawar will appeal to his followers to indulge in making black money and also indulge in corruption and frauds, and smuggling and on objecting to that he will tell that he was making "fun talk" to entertain his people!! This "fun talk" will be a very serious issue in the coming times, if not checked in time. Finally I tell Sharad Pawar to join Kapil Sharma in his show and make as much fun talk as he wants to do there.
Now, anything can happen, "fun talk" way.
