IBS trains NGOs

In order to reach out to the NGOs in southern and western India, the Icfai Business School (IBS) in partnership with The Resource Alliance, UK (www.resource-alliance.org ), has been conducting a 2-week Certification Course on ‘Resource Mobilisation and Communication’ (RMC) during 2008-09. These globally accredited Courses have already been held successfully in Hyderabad (July 14th – August 29th, ’08), Ahmedabad (Feb 16th- March 6th, 09), Chennai (Feb 23rd - March 13th, 09) and Jaipur (March 2nd - March 20th, 09). The programme at Jaipur had overseas participation from Africa also.

This certification course runs for 120 contact hours involving 41 exercises and has a great degree of interactivity. The emphasis is on 'hands-on' and experiential learning rather than pure theory.

Resource Persons

The programme is transacted through class room teaching, role plays, presentations, exercises, group work and case studies by leading trainers in resource mobilization and communication experts in the field. IBS faculty anchors the programme whereas experts from not-for-profit sectors as well as fund raising organizations and the media provide the critical inputs. Visit to a leading local NGO is also orgainsed as part of the programme. Going by the feedback received from the participants, the programme has proven to be credible, useful and very successful.
