An Acknowledgement

Hi All,

I always considered myself ‘an odd man out’. Mostly, my views are at odds with the majority. I never claim to be a good man. I don't take my views as absolute: it's always subject to change with convincing reasons. At no time it occurred in my wildest of dreams that many of you in droves would be reading my blogs. I accept it as a great honour lavished on me. It shows I have a good measure of resonance with many of you.

I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you. It gives me a great feeling to stay young.

I will be in Mumbai on 21st March and return after a month, on 22nd April. I don’t carry a laptop. Still, I will try to bore you with my crazy ideas on a potpourri of topics  from Internet café there. If, of course, no glitches interfere.

I had the habit of reacting with the environment since student life and used to jot down my thoughts from time to time on anything that strikes my mind. At the same time I had the very bad trait of not reading what I wrote. It remained a mystery to me, why I never felt inclined to go through my writings. Literally, I kept rolling on without gathering any moss.  After completion of a note book I would simply dump it somewhere without a thought that I might refer to it at a later stage. A few of the specimen you might have read with the date written at the bottom. Now, in my retired life, I find most of my jottings are lost due to carelessness. It is a great loss to me. However, I don’t suffer from the flaw of crying over spilt milk either. Gone is gone; as usual, I’ll keep rolling on with your best wishes as my propeller. To me, it will be a challenge for testing how long I can remain cerebrally active till I breathe out last.

I was introduced to siliconindia.com by Sriparna Chakraborty. I'm grateful to her. It was due to her only I could come in contact with you. Incidentally, my first blog “An Encounter with Supernatural” brought a congratulatory note from the Blog Editor Mr. G.Rajesh on 7/8/90, and  intimating further that it was published in Siliconindia home page. Initially I never thought Siliconindia members – being all professionals and career oriented -- would ever be interested in miscellaneous blogs. I had to revise my notion now.

I’m extremely thankful to you all.

Nalinaksha Mutsuddi
