What has gone wrong with WWF?
Something fishy smells in WWF, the conservation organization with a worldwide presence. A few days back we heard about King Juan Carlos of Spain, Honorary President of WWF Spain, admitted to hospital after breaking his hip in Botswana where he was on an elephant hunt. Elephant hunt? Yes, a very shameful episode. On the heels of this very perturbing news comes the shocking news that another President of WWF, King Gustafn of Sweden wants to "cull the wolf population" as he believes that the presence of 200 wolves might spoil his annual hunt. This is disgusting.
According to people close to WWF there are other skeletons in the cupboard that are likely to tumble out very soon. I am shattered by these unsavoury developments and want to keep my distance from WWF. It is high time WWF put its house in order.
