"Be still and know that I am God...." Psalm 46:10

Faith calls us to do strange things which the world mocks. One of them is "inactivity" when there is a great urge to go headlong with all the resources we have to tackle a situation. That is the first natural human reaction. Experience would tell us that without Him we can do nothing.

Being still is taking that special position where God is able to do His work in us without any hinderance from us. Yet, it is at these times when we emotionally undergo the sensation of abandonment the most. What a paradox!

There's another paradox .. when in our state of stillness the work that God does inside us changes the perspective we have held that's outside us. Yet nothing of the outside has changed but the world may have deteriorated even further!

My experiences of "still times" is that I've been given godly perspective of what is put in place before me. That enforces a change in my thoughts, words and deeds that further fine tunes to the Heart of God in all my responses.

Still Times .. rejuvenates & refreshes and it speaks about a quality in our relationship with God.

Still Times enable us to absorb fully the sublime & the divine. The richness in His reaching out and the joy of our yielding to know of His mercy & grace.

God is good.

Shalom
