Shampoos: Quite necessary if one wants to have wonderful hair

The word 'shampoo' originally meant head massage. The word 'shampoo' along with its underlying concept came into Britain from India during the time it was a colony of Britain. The word 'shampoo' is derived from the Hindi word 'champo'. But in the 1990s, the meaning of the word converted from the sense of the ”massage” to that of applying soap to the hair.

In the beginning years of shampoos, British hair stylists used to boil the shaved soap in the water. They also used to add the herbs to give their hair fragrance, shine and quality. The credit goes to Kasey Hebert making the first shampoo.

In India, traditional hair massage with the herbs, neem, shikakai, henna, bael, brahmi, buttermilk, amla, aloe, almond is still common.

Shampoos are hair care products which are used to remove the dirt, oil, dandruff etc. from the head. The process of usage is to apply the shampoo on the head with water which results in the formation of lather which consequently cleans the hair as well as the scalp.

There are different types of shampoos available in the market. The difference lies in terms of the size, the shape, the ingredients. Some of the examples include Baby shampoos, animal shampoos, hair loss shampoos, cheap herbal shampoos, medicated shampoos, dandruff shampoos, mild shampoos, shampoos for dry hair, shampoos for oily hair, shampoos for normal hair, shampoos for splitants etc.

In the market, many different companies have launched their shampoos. Dove, Pantene, Loreal, Sunsilk, Nyle, Vatika, Vatika anti-dandruff, Clinic All Clear, Garnier etc. are some of the brands that can be found in any normal store today.

Because of tension, frustration and work load, a wide range of people lose their hair. So hair specialists have searched for ideas of growing up the hair again. Nowadays we can see hair loss shampoos of different brands at any medical store, cosmetics store and even clinics.

Despite having a big range of shampoos in the market, some Indians do believe in applying the 'home-made shampoo'. Because it has lots of advantages over the conventional shampoo that can be bought at the store. The reason lies in the form of no chemicals and harmful elements being present in home made shampoos.

The element of curiosity has been the source of many wonderful discoveries over time. When it comes to shampoos the chance of anybody having the thought as to how one can make a shampoo is quite a viable one. In fact, it can also be termed as one of the major reasons behind the preference for home made shampoos over the conventional shampoos.

The human hair is quite a mysterious element and differs from person to person. Hence, creating shampoos according to the different hair textures is certainly a daunting task. Therefore, the sales of natural/ conventional shampoos that have been created by well known companies is still high when compared to the sales of home made shampoos.

This is prevalent irrespective of the price being high and the reason for this is that human beings do not want to compromise with the quality of the shampoo and they, therefore, prefer to buy reliable and trustworthy branded products.
