How to fix common brother printer problems

1. How to install brother printer
First turn off the power and connect to the USB, then insert the disc driver. When the process goes to “connect the printer”, turn on the power. Here, the computer will read “find new hardware” and the computer then will automatically install all the rest drivers. If no new hardware can be found, change a USB port and try again. If this doesn’t work either, the possible reasons could be: bad computer USB port, computer system, USB cable or printer USB port.
2. What if the brother printer driver can not be installed?
If no problem with the printer drivers, the issue could be that the printer has not been connected with the computer yet. So just turn off the printer power and turn on it again. If no work this way, change another USB port. It’s recommended that directly connect to the computer motherboard USB port when connecting. If the driver still can’t be installed, you’d better clear the whole printing system and then reinstall with the original disc coming with the machine. Just like other branded printers , we go to Lexmark.com for the right Lexmark printer drives, canon.com for the correct canon printer drivers, if you don’t have the original disc and have to download the brother printer drivers from the internet, make sure to download the type exact the same with the machine type or it will be useless.
3. The printer says cartridge error: open the front cover, clean the corona wire of the cartridge according to the tag.
The brother printer has to be reset after adding powder every time. Therefore, if you are experiencing this problem, take off the powder box and uninstall the screw on the left first, then take off the cover and revolve the 1 quarter arc on it. On the right of the bunker, there is a powder-adding plastic stopper; on the left, there is an outstanding C-shaped clamp; opposite of the powder hole, there is a reset lever. We can move the lever slightly to reset the printer. But before reset, the lever is flat with a powder box placed flat. After reset, the lever will be vertical. We can’t make the lever vertical until we have got a white stopper or an appropriate screwdriver to revolve it. What’s more, pay attention to whether the reset lever is moving along with the rotating axis. When the reset lever turns vertical, it means the reset is successful.
4. What if the printing powder has been used out?
On the left of the powder warehouse, there are three screws, take them off and you will find there is a white semicircle with gearwheel, revolve it to the end and then open the white plastic cover on the right of the powder warehouse and finally add the brother powder. ;)
If there is powder but this still happens, extract the cartridge and seal the two holes—sensor detecting location-- with paper or black plastics. This way, the machine will not report “toner low” any more.
Another easier way is if check the two wholes opposite the warehouse sides and block them with stuff.;)
5. What to do if the first paper printing is normal but when printing the second, the machine says no paper in the printer while actually there are?
Check whether there is problem with the toner cartridge and printer sensor. If there are, change the cartridge. Also check whether there is error with the sensor, wipe the paper pulley and laser sensor in case there are dusts on them.
