Akshay Kumar refuses to play quiz host
Spicezee Bureau Mumbai, May 11: Once the reigning ‘King of Bollywood’, Akshay Kumar’s recent debacles at the Box Office may have dethroned him of the coveted title, but that hardly seems to stop him from making kingly demands.
Making the producers pay through their nose, the actor has joined the ever-increasing list of actors who have refused to offer any price respite in the tough time of economic slowdown. Then if it means turning down plum offers, Akshay seems to be having no second thoughts. The actor, who has reportedly charged a throbbing price for hosting ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ (Season 2), has turned down an offer from prominent TV channel over money matters.
Buzz has it that Akshay was approached to play host for a quiz show. But the actor politely refused the show citing date problems. However, insiders reveal that Akki’s refusal was much driven by moolah than dates.
Going by his recent series of duds at the Box Office, if there is one thing that Akshay has in plenty is dates.
