For past few months One of my friend neeraj(name changed) is facing serious problems. Recently, in his hometown, a city in UP, cops arrested his brother alleging theft some gold rings. Policemen took him right from his home at the night. Police told that they have arrested a boy, who confess about steal the rings from a samajvadi party district president’s house. The accused named his friend (who is neeraj’s brother) to help in this crime. He also alleged him to be a mastermind of all planning.

Police kept him three days in lock-up. They didn’t register any case and because they don’t have any evidence against him. For the last two days, they assure his family member’s to leave him very soon but in the end they said that they are facing a political pressure.

I’ve talked to my friend on phone and what he tells, it stuns me. The goons of samajvadi party leader took the first boy to the jungle. After his confession, goons asked him to name a rich person’s son and told that he involves in this crime. Actually they want to get a heavy ransom from that rich person on behalf of quash the case. The boy don’t know anyone like thar. After beating and pressurizing, he told neeraj’s brother name. and as a good follower, police do all which that politician want. The goons also want that boy to name my friend’s mother, because they want to give extra pressure to his family for getting ransom.

So, this is Indian politics and police. Anyone find himself in this situation. What can he do?
