Indian Government Is more focused on the Right to the education rather then the right to the right education. No doubt there are lots of initiatives implemented by the government especially in the rural education sector but the outcome is not as much satisfactory as it must be because the Government is more concern bout the right of education rather then the quality of it. The education which is being provided in the primary and government schools is able to provide as much quality as required in the technical and competitive era, approximately 72% of Indian population living in rural areas and the quality term in education system is almost negligible so what are the government expectations from the coming generation. Government has ever count the populations of child in rural areas those who are engaged in earning their livelihood after completing only fifth standard, because the midday meal facility is not available after fifth or their family conditions provoke them to earn because even their families are also required midday meal kind of schemes. If you ever visit to the groceries shops or rural market or at any construction site you will found numbers of children who left the schools in engaged in earning activities. INITIATIVES BY GOVERNMENT- Kasturba Gandhi Shiksha Yojana, has been funded with Rs. 2,500 million (rupees). Other financial incentives and scholarships for poor girls have been provided. Operation Blackboard: According to the government of India, the number of primary schools that have been transformed under this initiative with central assistance is 523,000. The main purpose of this program is to improve the environment in schools by providing basic facilities. Shiksha Karmi Project: The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency has assisted in the implementation of the Shiksha Karmi Project. The project aims at universalization and qualitative improvement of primary education in the remote and economically disadvantaged villages of Rajasthan with a focus on girls. Lok Jumbish Project: Lok Jumbish is extended to 75 blocks covering a population of approximately 12 million in Rajastahan. SERV SHKSHA ABHIYAAN- Government focus on serve shiksha its great but there is a huge difference between EFFECTIVENESS & EFFICIENCY. The education must be effective. Now a days MIDDAY MEAL is getting popularity under serv shiksha abhiyaan, a huge amount is being invested in this project, is this investment really having some output? Whether the ROI is satisfactory or not? Objective behind this scheme- The MDMS has many positive attributes such as a. Promoting school participation Preventing classroom hunger Facilitating the healthy growth of children Intrinsic educational value Fostering social equality Enhancing gender equity etc. But, do you think that these objectives are really meeting, If you ever visit in any Government school. In more then 50% of school you will found that there is no discipline, no time table no focus on right attitude building at all. Main part is that what attitude is being developed in the students, now the priority is not education it has been replace by food, if the quality is absent from the education its mean that we are given birth to the non performers its directly contribute to the poverty. I have recently visit a management institute which was in a rural area, I have few words with the MBA students over there, the guys was not able to understand English even the are able to write it. This is the standard of rural education on which government is expending millions of rupee on the annual basis. So question is that why there is so much disparity between urban and rural education mainly at the primary education level even in the presence of number of government schemes. I think government should invested in employment generating activities so that we can solve the food problem by generating employment, because its well known that a major part of agriculture production has been consumed by the population so in the absence of employment these projects can generate a big problem in long run. try to slove the problem from its depth rather then from the surface.
