Yellow fever vaccination is compulsory for the African countries. It is essential for immigration formalities. In India this vaccination is available only at selected centers such as in Airport or any govt. recognized hospitals in only selected metro cities. Due to less number of centers available all over India now this centers have monopoly in vaccination. These centers used to vaccine only 40 people in a day. But now day to day there is big movement of people in and out so this vaccination arrangement is not sufficient to solve the purpose. Due to less number of centers and need of Yellow fever vaccination card seeing the urgency and need of people, the persons working in these centers such as registration clerk, Doctors grabbing extra money from the people who came for vaccination. These centers are working as corruption centers for vaccination. People stand in queue from morning for vaccination but they were not vaccinated as per their serial number, because by giving some extra money some people get vaccinated without standing in queue. This is frustrating for the people who were standing in queue since morning. In Sahara international Airport, Mumbai you have to register your name in morning 10 am for vaccination with Original passport and ticket and then you have to come at 2 p.m. for vaccination it will go up to 5 pm. The procedure takes whole day. Streamline vaccination procedure will certainly saved the time of people. To stop the corruption at Vaccination Centers the number of centers must be increased. The information of vaccination centers should be place on board for general public. Not only about yellow fever but for other essential vaccinations should be made available at every airport, to avoid the wastage of time & money of people. This will certainly help to stop the corruption & humiliation of people at these centers.
