One day a woman came to meet Mahatma Gandhi ji and said "bapu he is my son, doctor has adviced not to take sweets any more but he is not listening to me, he eats sweets daily, please ask him to leave sweets for some time"
Bapu said - ok take him to me after 10 days
She went and on the 11th day she came back with her son.
Bapu take him to the room talk to him for 5-10 mins and took promise from him that he will not eat sweets for few months till he is not cured.
woman looked him surprisingly and asked 'bapu' why you waited for 10 days, all this you spoke to him was so casual that you might have spoken that day also
'bapu' replied very politely " that day i was habitual of eating sweets daily, first i tried to get rid of my habit before that how can i ask him to stop eating sweets"
