I, Barack Hussein Obama...
Rhetoric apart, it was probably the phrase above, spoken during taking of the Oath, highlighted the most defining moment of the Inauguration Ceremony as the 44th President of the United States was sworn in.
Think about it...was this possible or even thinkable in the morning of September 12, 2001. True the junior Senator from Illinois was spotted earlier when he stepped up to deliver the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in July 2004 (he was sworn in as a Senator in Jan 2005 actually). No one imagined that he will ride a strong groundswell of changing public awareness, telescoping the time so quickly.

This should not be dismissed merely as a political magic. Tough challenges do precipitate big changes. However, this signals a societal or maybe, a sociological tectonic shift; a yearning for a far deeper change.
Power was Transferred not only from 43rd to 44rth President but to a new generation.
