Price of Love

Senior Manager HR Admn

It would be naïve to think of making love without one’s readiness/preparedness to pay its price and it would be utopian naïveté to practice this belief. What we should accept in our real life is naïve realism.

We generally hold on to such ideologies, which due to being impractical or too idealistic in nature, remain only unfulfilled. As such, it is useless to nurture such utopian thoughts.

With respect to love also, we remain too idealistic and never think about love in pragmatic terms / parlance. As a result, we are disappointed and have setbacks in the long run in our voyage of life.

When we say that we should make unconditional love, we are absolutely wrong because love can never be made unconditionally. With love, conditions are already implied and or attached which we are not able to discern and sense as we ignore for our convenience and ease. Love can bloom, flourish and sustain for ever only in certain conditions. If those conditions are ignored or bypassed, the castle of love falls flat on its own surface.

Love, therefore, asks for its own price to be paid but not in the form of currency; one has to pay the price for everything one gets in life. Love asks for its price in the form of passion, care, sacrifice, understanding, appreciation, trust and belief, adjustment and compromise et all; and if not paid, love does not sustain and start diminishing, withering away and finally vanishes from the life.

Therefore, to succeed in love, we must be prepared to pay the price for loving or for being loved. Indifference to these above conditions by the person will only lead to his failure in love.
