Are CEOs or VPs aware of HR personnel mocking candidates in the name of interviews?
For the attention of CEOs and VPs of each company.Your HR personnel seek the help of consultancies to hire people for openings in respective positions.I had recently atttended 5-6 interviews in MNCs through consultancies.I get a call from the consultancy that you are shortlisted. You have to attend the interview in so and so date at so and so time. When reaching the office in Whitefield or wherever you will be asked to wait.An HR executive come and talks to you for 5mts.Pls wait our Sr.HR executive will talk to you.30mts passed. They ae all in a meeting. How many meetings do these junior and senior executives have per day? Another person with the same attitude and questions talk to you for 10mts.Unexpected questions unnecessarily asked and they say "you have changed your career many times"and "you were on a contract".So let me discuss with my manager and i will let you know. This kind of unprofessional demeanor is not expected from MNC HR personnel. The funniest part is they only shortlist people send from consultancies and they know the JD perfectly well.On what grounds do they schedule interivews and what are they trying to find out calling us and wasting our time and their time giving us the excuse that "i was busy in a meeting".Don't they have any schedule for the meetings? Why do they call up candidates if they are not sure of their schedules and profile? It is ridiculous to watch these acts and finally we get information that somebody has been appointed on "internal reference".Then why do they call up other candidates? What kind of ethics are they following? Is it routine interview to show in their records that they had interviewed many candidates and some work has been done from their side?Is this acceptable?
