SLUMDOGS -U CAN SEE THEM AROUND U!!!!!
Talking of SLUMDOG we all get an instant review of the great blockbuster SLUMDOG MILLIONAIR in our mind. But watchimg a movie and experiencing the same are two different dimensions. The movie dealt with some serious problems existing in our society .ONe can try to ignore them but for how long ?.?
NO ONE seems to care NOT THE GOVERNMENT NOT THE POLICE NOT THE COMMON MAN NOT EVEN THE SOCIETY WHICH BOASTS OF ITS HIGH SOCIAL VALUES AND SOCIAL UPLIFTMENT PROGRAMMES.
One incident i would like to mention here which really shook me.
I was on trip to KOLKATA . At the railway station OF HOWRAH i saw one girl aged 16 or 17 wearing a black pant and a sleeveless top. She looked like a modern beggar. As she came closer i could not stop staring at her because both her hands were severely burnt. But there was no sign of pain on her face. her skin were hanging down.And was amazed to see that she had four or five people as her company and no one was bothered to look at her and ask for the cause. I was ashamed of myself 'cause i wasn't able to do anything. i wanted to inform the police but being a girl i knew it would be foolish to do such things when the whole station was full policemen and nobody cared as she roamed around the whole station asking for money. MY PARENT WOULDN'T LET ME DO THIS BRAVERY SHOW. Then I saw the same situation while returning back to Patna the only difference being that this time it was a BOY nearly 12 to 14 years old.I WAS SHOKED. I was still not out of all this SHOCK when i happened to see a boy with BURNT hand again in PATNA.
WHAT WAS IT.????? AN OSCAR FOR A MOTIVATING MOVIE WHICH IS BEING AWARDED TO OUR YOUNG INDIA..DEVELOPING INDIA WHICH IS READY TO ACCEPT ALL THIS AS A PART AN PARCEL OF DEVELOPMENT. JAI HO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
