Flashback 1- The vacation had got postponed more than thrice in a duration of 2 months. The travel agency had promised to finalize the tour in late January. My father, historically has avoided long journeys with any absurd reason that he could come up with. I was very upbeat when he had made up his mind to travel abroad for a vacation. However, since the tour had been postponed many times, my parents had lost enthusiasm relatively. It was temporary; as they got to know that a more reliable and well known travel agency was also offering similar tour. I was happy to visit their office and book the tour for them. Nevertheless, the thoughts still haunted me -'No other person in your family will be able to travel to "foreign"' - my uncle had told me back when I was in a school. He was hinting that I would certainly travel abroad, however, had predicted that none of my immediate family members may be able to travel abroad. My uncle, albeit a businessman, had a hobby of palmistry. I remember then, that, all his predictions had come true - a baby girl for one of my cousin, marriage and a baby boy for another cousin, I would get a good job etc. Historically, I hadn't seen his predictions go wrong. However, the only prediction that I was worried was about my immediate family members traveling abroad; as I had always dreamt of treating my parents and siblings to a great abroad vacation.

More the tour got postponed, the more I was getting nervous and inclined to think what if it could turn true. This time, I had made up my mind to give up on my worries and treat my parents with a wonderful vacation. I had also called them frequently while they were in Thailand to ensure that they were enjoying. I was thrilled to see the pictures of my parents doing a parasail.

Flashback 1 return - The flight landed Mumbai airport safely failing the predictions that my uncle had made about my immediate family! I called up my cousin's husband and he confirmed that my parents were checking out.
