Gauge of Success
Success
A few days back i met a young man working with the BMC as an Asst. Engineer, from a very poor background, he was so depressed and frustrated, he said he is such a failure in life cause he does not have a house of his own, not earning the kind of income he dreams of, not able to get married and this life seemed like a huge burden upon him which he is dragging on not knowing where he is headed and like him there are many who think they have not succeeded in life only because they do not own a house or have a good job, they are not famous, their bank balance is nill , these are the parameters through which we gauge success.
The Real Gauge
King
Solomon the richest king the world has ever seen, a man full of wisdom,
one who had about 1000 wives, enjoyed every pleasure this world has to
offer, by wordly standards he was exceedingly successful, he has
written many proverbs and wise saying and in his book of Ecclesiastes
he has given a summary of life and in chapter 12 verse 13 he gives a
conclusion,
13 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.
the
man who i reckon is the authority to give such a conclusion having
tasted everything, he says indeed everything under this sun is vanity,
the only duty of a man is to fear God and keep His commandments, this
is the only true gauge of success, whether you know the creator??? are
you walking in His precepts ??? rest everything is vanity, no matter
how many cars you have, how many rooms are in your mansion, how many
billions are in your bank, at the end everything comes to a zero.
our parameters are wrong, if you have known the Creator and have established a personal relationship with Him then you are SUCCESSFUL, your bank balance does not matter, rest everything is like chasing behind the wind at the end we will always remain empty handed.
Lord Jesus said in Luke 9:25, "what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and suffers the loss of his own soul"

Lord Jesus said in Luke 9:25, "what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and suffers the loss of his own soul"
oh so true, let us give a careful thought to our ways, in gaining the world are we loosing our soul????
