what is Prayer ???
This morning as i was on my way waiting at the signal i peeped in to the car besides me and saw a well dressed man probably an M.D. of some company reading n reciting something though i am not a cat but not any less curious i moved closer to see what was he reading and it happened to be some reciting prayer book and i bet he is not the only person in this world who faithfully does that, it makes me wonder why the simplest things in life are so complicated ??? is it because we harbor this notion that the best things in life are not easy at all, but Jesus said in the Gospel of Mathew chapter 6
6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Amen.
Prayer is not about using a million word's or a lofty language it is not about reading out something end number of times, it is just coming in to His presence thanking Him and having a one to one talk knowing that He is very much there as a friend to whom you can pour your heart out asking for help, thanking Him, Praising Him saying just how much you Love Him. Prayer is a relationship with God, i am sure none of us go to our parents or friends and whip out a written paper and start reading from it, no we don't do that, but when we meet some one our conversation is lively it is one to one it is never muttering repeatetive words, then why while praying we think it is not a conversation ???? it indeed is conversing with the almighty and is so very simple, pouring your heart out and He likes it when we have a meaningful talk with Him.
