How to free up your time?
People often say that they can have everything done if they have enough time. The funny thing is it’s not possible. There was, is and will be 24 hours a day. Nobody can make a day of more than 24 hours. People always complain about time even as the matter of fact that time is equal for everyone. Einstein, one of the greatest geniuses of all time, argued that "time is relative."
Yet, despite this, we rarely use it in a way that helps us. The more we develop technologies that enable us to do things more quickly to save time, the more we take on and we end up losing time. With computers, laptops, mobile phones, planes, and fax machines, we are continuously looking for ways to do things more quickly, aren’t we? Our world seems to move faster and we seem to have less time than ever in which to do so much more. It's a funny chase.
People often ask me “Can you suggest me about time management?” In my opinion, most of the people waste most of their time. In terms of managing time, I think the most important thing is to spend less time worrying and less time feeling bad and to understand how your mind works, so you make decisions quickly and you do things quickly. Learn to encourage yourself and get things done effectively.
As per the survey, it was found that people spend anywhere up to 70% of their waking time nagging themselves and making horrible self-images and 15 % of their time planning things that they never do and another 14 % of their time complaining about what they didn't do and maybe 1 % of their time, if they're lucky, actually doing something. I suggest to change that ratio around to the opposite.
If we are not doing something that we enjoy, we start gnawing on ourselves. we do it with internal dialogue and bad pictures and then we start biting on the people around us. We sometimes start getting angry on others with no apparent reason. The keys to time management are really about learning to arrange your life so that you are performing at your best more of the time. It's about organizing your time and priorities in the best way possible for you. Time-management is about realizing that we can't make more time; we can only make better use of the time we have.
I would like you to do following exercises to save your precious time.
Time-Changing Exercises
1. Organize. Set aside a day to get everything organized. Design your diary/appointments/schedule around the information you've just read. The amount of time that you'll save over the next year will be well worth it. Make this a regular habit: once a week, once a month, every three months, every six months, once a year.
2. Catch up. Give yourself an extra couple of hours to catch up and finish up things each week.
3. Prioritize. Some things are more important or urgent than others. Make sure you know your priorities. You'll never get everything done all the time.
4. Get a notebook. Get a notebook and take it everywhere. Write down anything you think of that you have to do. 5. Time yourself. Take a watch around with you and record in your notebook how much time you spend doing each activity during the day. Do this for a fewdays, and you'll understand exactly where your time "goes"!
Using tips in above exercise, we can learn the to enjoy and to satisfy in our daily life.
