Celebrating One Year of Blogging at SiliconIndia!

Founder of Telecomblogs India

It's difficult to recount the events on, how it started. I went up to a nearby cafe to write something on telecom. It was an urge. Perhaps it all started while I was reading SI Daily Dose, a news-letter sent by SI to its members, a worthwhile read with its unique features. While reading Daily Dose, I instantly got hooked with blogs. I wasn't trying to make a point at that time, but one thing was sure, I found something meaningful when I stepped into the world of blogging. And now I do remember the wise decision I made to start, stick and continue with SI.

It all started on 10th Aug 08, when I was sitting in a café, wondering why I shouldn't be writing on anything I love. I have a decent inclination for writing or at least it was to be discovered soon. Once upon a time I tried to write something back on Blogger, but it wasn't good enough to remember. Perhaps, I learn a lesson; unless you have something to say , you can't write. Be clear of it! So many lessons, so many punishments and so many learnings, but at the end I ended up writing decent blogs with good consistency at SI. Feeling Good! Now after one year, I have come a long long way- I stopped going to cafes and I don't have to wonder on what to write next anymore!

When I woke up today morning, I knew, today I will be writing something about this one year, but then I totally forgot about it during daily hum-drum. Just now I had finished my dinner and I was wondering what to do next. And suddenly, it sparked in my mind! Oh Yes! Today is my first anniversary of blogging at SI! Let’s celebrate and let's introspect too!

What makes me a Blogger? Why do I write blogs? What makes me feel content after writing something or other? Do I destine to be a Blogger? I really don't know. What I know about blogging is; it's fun. I really enjoy it. The moment I started writing blogs, I knew I was enjoying it more than anything else; even more than reading (No Comparision Please!). It happened to me by chance. But then celebrating one year of writing blogs, more than 70 blogs at SI, 3 publications in print media, launch of my telecom blogsite and many other blogs post links aren't mere consequences of a chance. Or are they?

More I think; more it puzzles me. It is only activity other than photography, which I always look forward to, especially at the end of the day. Many of the blogs I wrote were well past midnight, when I was alone in my flat. Many of the blogs were written on weekends, again when I was alone. So is it my loneliness in Delhi, prompted me to write more and more? I don't know very surely, but yes it helped me a bit in the sense that, I got my room (Room on the roof?)and peace, which are very much essential ingredients of writing a good blog.

What makes SI so special for me? At SI, I still don't remember a single day when I didn't look forward to see my blogs comments. You got it right. The quality of readership and timely feedbacks, perhaps the the best way you can measure your skills, are always available at SI. My blog readers at SI helped me a lot, in shaping my skills. I feel obliged to them. SI gave me the platform to write and I didn't look back after that. What’s more you need?

So before I close this special blog, I must admit, blogging is perhaps the best thing happened to me till date. When you read my blogs and comment on them, I feel I have made an honest attempt to make difference through my writings. It's you; the readers make my blogs worthwhile! It's you for whom I stay awake for nights! It's you who made me feel proud! And it's you for whom I should be doing it again and again!

Thanks SI for everything! Hope this relationship will flourish more in coming years!

Good Night!
