It started when two of our Union Cabinet Ministers were enjoying their stay in Five-Star Hotels in New Delhi. Unfortunately, these two fellows had to pack up bags when it came into limelight; reason Austerity Agenda of Union Government. It now reached to every other MP & perhaps MLAs of the states too, who were asked to follow the suit, compulsory.

I was really amazed to see the videos of Ms. Sonia Gandhi & Mr. Rahul Gandhi traveling by economy class & train respectively. The same was earlier done our finance & agri minister, who was apparently not happy with all this tamasha. And now this drama of great austerity has caught so much attention that people pelted the train in which Rahul is traveling. What a politics!

Why now? God only know! I was amused to see Lalu's advice(Look who is advising to whom) to travel by sleeper class on NEWS channels sometime back. And now whole nation is glued to TV channels to see Sonia Gandhi traveling in economy class. New Channels got TRP. Politicians got publicity (Claps too). Even Airliners got passengers too. But then rest of the nation got perfect entertainment amid gloom in Bollywood releases. These news channels have turned their primetime news into perfect entertainment soaps showcasing videos of our ministers traveling by economy. Preaching MPs austerity is daunting and now we all can see, why. It's impossible to follow this suite unless we really know what it is. Perhaps National leaders reached to a stage in their careers where either they don't want/need to party on tax-payers money (Perhaps due to recession?) anymore or become enough curious to peep inside economy windows to smell the essence of being an India traveler. Please don't it. We don't need to know that you are on austerity drive. The choice should be individual one and not forced to show it off. Try something new now; you must have saved enough money by this time to return back to in-austerity.
