Corrupt judges pose more danger to society than corrupt politicians
Prime minister should be outside the Lokpal's jurisdiction. PM is the first directly elected executive of the country always prone to public brickbats or ovation. He is under constant watch of press, people and parliament. There are various mechanisms to discipline him The dignity of the post must be maintained. Though our country has been cursed to have dwarfs as PMs barring one or two names.
But at the same time the higher judiciary at all costs be brought to the ambit of Lokpal's investigation and punishing provisions. The impeachment proceddure has made judges act irresponsibly as no errant judge has so far been punished. At times Govt. looks helpless. Corrupt judges pose more danger to society than corrupt politicians.
