To save democracy, a case for National Governance in India.

Independent Principal Domain Consul...

If C stands for corruption in Congress, then C stands for Coercive in CPM. I hear some congressmen shouting.

Well. Like every one of you, I am also actively following up the WikiLeaks impact on our political environment.

The latest involving Congress and Cash for votes, is indeed interesting and surprising.

We all know, all the political parties in India are not above board. That includes ADMK, BJP, CPM, CPI, Congress, DMK,……

Well. The extent and the opportunities for them to exploit may be different and hence the quantum of their corruption naturally is different.

However, as of now, only the DMK is leading the corruption amount list with massive corruption amount.

It may be because, Raja (the king) was facilitating this corruption for himself and his party. I am not saying this. The newspaper headings and TV shows reveal this.

Coming to cash for votes, who is not indulging in this?

Come to Tamil Nadu, we have colour TVs, Gas Stoves, and what not,  even currency notes in an envelope at the time of elections, for votes.

Almost all the parties in India have offered electricity for votes. Of course, to capture to votes of a particular segment ?

What about our BJP? The party which is proclaiming itself above board and which is projecting itself to be very clean and therefore a party of all virtues.

Just a rewind. Their President was caught in a camera accepting a small bribe. The rest was history. He was relieved by his party from his position. May be that party was upset with its President, as he was caught accepting only a small amount.

We also know what happened during the Kargil war. BJP’s then Defence Minister was accused of wrong doing.

Well.

With such a wide polarity in Indian Politics and no party is above board or clean, it is time now for a National Governance.

Why I advocate such a National Governance?

In such a governance arrangement, all the parties in India will have a stake.

If one minister belonging to a party were to indulge in corruption, his/her colleagues from other competing parties will not keep quiet. They will expose this minister then and there.

Therefore, we can expect then, every minister to play fair.

Of course, I can hear you sounding different: what will happen if all the ministers and all the parties were to join together in this corrupt practices.

God only will have to intervene and save us.

Well. Then atleast, no one political party will accuse others of any corrupt practices.

If this situation is allowed to continue, I wont be surprised, the democracy may take a back seat in India.

Therefore I advocate National Governance now.

You may agree!
