India And Indian Subcontinent Region
Rome, Misr, Unan sab mit gaye jahan se
Kuch baat hai ki Hasti mitti nahin hamari,

India is largest democracy ,one of fastest moving economy, a power house in field of information technology ...India has come a long way since independence and since globalization its moving at fast pace....Indian Economy inspite of recession is expected to grow by 7% in 2009.
These are all good news regarding india but at same time 2008 was one of worst for india as far as terrorism goes.India was hit at west,south,east and north. Jaipur , banglore, ahmedabad ,delhi, guwahati, mumbai none were spared.Year 2009 began with another blast in guwahati.
Terrorism is threat to our development plans , our economy , our security ,our idea called india. India has always been a diversed ,multi cultural society. Terrorism is causing threat to our long cherished dream. A better life for all.
India is effected by two different types of terrorism modules. Some work in synergy too.There are home grown terrorist outfits of basis of religion.Latest addition to this is pandey,pragaya. Simi ,khalsa ,ulfa is e.g. of home grown terrorism.While simi,ulfa are supported by external agencies in terms of training,weapons,funding ,terror outfits like that of pragya are totally india based.
There are terror outfits like JEM,LET,HUJI who are product of our neighbours. These outfits have major trained resources , are fully funded organization and are very well managed outfits.
India has repetatively accused pakistan ,bangladesh of supporting (if not directly ,then by tolerating) these terrorist outfits against India. Though both countries have rejected India's Claim ,time and again.
India ,pakistan and bangladesh belonged to same country which was spilted by brits while allowing division of india .Intially it got divided into two countries and later in 1972 pakistan got splitted into two countries and bangladesh was born.
If we see indian subcontinent today ,democracy in india and growth of india is itself a big achievement..Out subcontinent is in chaos. We are surrounded with countries like pakistan,bangladesh,srilanka , nepal,burma,bhutan and china at the north.
Out of all these country china is fastest moving economy and soon can be super power..But apart from china if we look at our neighbours subcontinent is in chaos.
All six country features in list of failed state -2008. Pakistan tops the list by coming 9th. Just one after afghanizthan which comes 7th in the list.Bangladesh and Burma are 12th,srilanka is 20th ,while bhutan is 51st.
We cant change our neighbours. But instability in all these countries do effect us too. Its easy to say india is shinning ,india is growing but we need to make this growth inclusive. We have more people living below poverty line than population of pakistan. These people are vulnerable and can be easily exploited by our neighbouring terrorist outfits and used against us.
As far as our neighbours goes ,china is interested in becoming super power must understand that it itself is not immune to chaos in our region.It has to work more closely with india ,than pakistan.
Saarc has lost its meaning ,but we need to work hard to make saarc more constructive. Also we need to work through diplomatic channels so that we do develop better relations with pakistan ,bangladesh. We do have good relation with srilanka and nepal.
2009 has begun ...Let us see how this year turns out to be in our region..We just hope zardari's government sustains and develops pakistan. Hasina does good for bangladesh and peace does come in srilanka.
At same time we hope indian home grown terrorism is controlled and brought to justice..
2009 is new year ,with new hope..
