This season’s winter has closed down without a squeak and summer has gradually opened up... without announcement. Nature’s official winter-summer cut-off , I believe, is Holi, after which I guess, the cold black & white of winter gives way to the hot blazing colours of summer. I look black and ask myself, "Did we have a winter this time in Delhi?”

Kids  on the threshold of becoming Adolescents  are grappling with the chemistry of the Board Exams– their biological recession hit parents having worked out the mathematics of careers are capitalizing on available leave to  lend physical & environmental friendly  support.

Neighboring Pakistan & Bangladesh are busy breaking themselves to smithereens  and choking the gutters of their country with blood, flesh & bone.  It does not matter whether it is The Army, The Police, The Terrorist  or The Jehadi   they all have ample reason to maim, kill and murder. Is not life the most precious thing given by  God?

In India, the horrible urban & earthy rural dust is set to rise again with the upcoming General Elections. All Political Parties are now working only with 'calculators-in-hand' trying to add &  multiply their chances or better still, divide and minus that of their opponents! TV Channels provide  excellent fodder to these guys with accurate figures of Hindus, Muslims ( to the last baby born!), Christians  etc. In case you have forgotten your religion, caste (or sub-caste) it is time to remind yourself and catch – up with the Headlines Today or The Times Now on a 24x7 basis! Wow! If they could ban Exit Polls they should probably also ban any mention of a Hindu or Muslim or particular Caste Vote-Bank! Somehow being secular is touted as meaning anti-BJP or pro-Congress. How very funny,  given that Hinduism is one of the most secular religions!

Petty minded parochial regional satraps are stitching their matching capes, ironing their yellow shawls,  polishing their diamond earrings, growing their beards (to hide white 'soft-ware' patches) of flying their red flags and making reservations for the ‘post-poll screwing’ of numbers , unmindful of their dark-spots!  Near by… an Italian Hand 'rocks the cradle' and an Indian Lotus in all its glory remains untouched by the very water it floats on! India Shining passing through Bharat Nirman giving way to Jai Ho? Does the ordinary Indian ever get a chance to choose a Leader? ….oh!…..ba!…….ma!…….
