The embers of Mumbai  terror, stoked from foreign shores have died down for the moment –other fires rage elsewhere!  The Fire Brigade, the NSG, the MARCOS, the inner & outer rings have all spilled out whatever precious internals they had. They have bid ‘tata’  to the Taj on the water front Gate and moved  to the warmth of their respective ‘palaces’ – to train and prepare perhaps, for greater expectations to come! There is an eerie stillness, a lull, and the cold is out shopping in Northern India  for its winter collection. The Mist is out there in the cold, enveloping the tenderness it can find,  gently calming  distressed souls and ever-so-often holding hands with brother Fog to raise a few temperatures in  Delhi Airport.  While all this unfolds......I can hear the music, smell the beauty and, I swear, the women of Delhi ( & GUrgaon) are more beautiful in winter –than IN ANY OTHER PERIOD oF TIME!

Beauty is always an inspiration for many things (this article is one!), and thank God we can find it in abundance everywhere - at home, in the neighbourhood, at the Office, in the Gurgaon Malls ! -provided we look!  It is strictly in the eyes of the beholder-famously said many ‘Keats winters’  ago!

While the summer heralds plunging necklines, rising skirts, minimal clothing and ‘generous, awesome flesh’, which may be awfully cool, Winter surprises with a hot blazing beauty of its own!  Previously hidden structures rise from the unknown corners, the mane is visibly spectacular, wet, rich, bouncing, shining and the longer, the more alluring. The hard-to-find skin appears amazingly fresh, of a rich texture and glowing with a Chandrayaan moon-shine. The tight woolens of rainbow hues hide ‘the forgettables’  and  display mindboggling angles,  curves and shapes like never before –bodilacious does not belong to a Singer alone! It belongs to the Delhi Women as well! Believe me, it strikes you hard, that women can kill either way - with or without clothes!

Shelia Dixit looked stunning in her Winter Victory – caught my eye just when I was beginning to ‘turn-over’ handsome Jaitely. Never mind the age, or the inner beauty, winter beauty has come of age many periods over!  There is no beauty on earth that is more ‘sightful’ or wonderful than a beautiful woman ………in Winter clothing! Must I say!
