Human Development Index
Searching internet for anything is not great deal you just need open any of the Search engines and type anything you want to get wired and unexpected result. I did the same by opening one of the search engines to find anything that made me more knowledgeable. The concept was Human Development Index which I studied here is something which I want to you to tell you about.
The Human Development Index (HDI) is an index used to rank
countries by level of "human development", which usually also implies
whether a country is a developed developing, or underdeveloped.
The
Index was developed by Pakistani economist Mahbub ul Haq, Sir Richard Jolly
with help from Gustav Ranis of
The HDI combines three basic
dimensions:
- Life Expectancy at birth, as an index of population health and longevity
- Knowledge and education, as measured
by the adult literacy rate (with two-thirds weighting) and the combined
primary, secondary, and tertiary Gross involvement ratio with one-third
weighting).
- Standard of living, as measured by
the natural algorithm of Gross Domestic product (GDP) per capita at purchasing
power parity(PPP) of country.
