Men in Uniform !
I met this young Defence Officer from Bareli, who's posted in Assam, over a social-networking site. When I spoke to him I found that he is like a child trapped in a cage with loads of responsibilities..Someone who'ld jump & hop & dance & have fun & frolic given a chance to remove the uniform & shed the responsibility. But deep down inside his heart there is a true patriot & a reformer. I had no clue of the life of a young MAN IN UNIFORM. He asked me how I have spent my holi! I said, I have partied & danced with my folks till the wee hours. And then gotto know that, on that holi eve when I was dancing & completely releashing life, there was this guy, this young soldier, who was given the task to vigil the particular border where he's posted as their intelligence Dept were informed that there could be a possible terror attack.. They could not sleep for 2-3 days & were awake without closing their eye-lid even for a sec.. Iam touched.. It really made me think of the sacrifices of these young guys in uniform.. We complain, creeb, throw tantrum, if we are asked to extend our shift for an hour or so! And at the other end, there are people who do not have any specified time of work..All they know is that they have to save their motherland, protect their countrymen 24/7..365 days....
I salute u, the soldiers of my country..
