You might have read the previous two blogs on water, dealing why to save water and how to save water. In this blog I shall take this discussion further. Now the aim --why to save water is almost clear to all our Divine Friends. However I would like to revise the aim--We should save water because it is created by our Beloved Divine Mother-GOD, for She wants to take care of all of us.

I belong to Bhavnagar[ Gujarat]. So it would be easy for me to take example of Bhavnagar.

In Bhavnagar I have seen more than 30 Hostels, and more than 40 colleges and schools. Almost all these buildings have terraces.

Let one terrace measures 100 meter by 100 meter. This carpet area is 10000 square meters.for 0.15 meter of rainwater for one rainfall.

Volume of water of one rainfall= 10000 by 0.15=1500 cubic meters.

Volume of 10 such rainfalls during a year=1500 by 10=15000 cubic meters.

Volume in litters= 15000 by1000=150,00,00 litters [150 lakhs litters]

For 70 such buildings the vol of water=150,00,000 by 70=1,05,00,00,000 litrs

Means in a city like Bhavnagar, if all the school,colleges, hostels authorities decide to save water, they can save 105 crores litters of water each year ! ! !

Shall we take care to explain this concept to nearby schools, colleges and hostels ? Off course it is somewhat timetaking process but most desirable task. We can use one of our holidays to contact the responsible persons and try to implement. A authority may disagree once, twice or thrice... But if we explain with love towards the disagreed persons, finally they will aceept.

This water if not saved, will flow through streets, making mud and then it will go to the sewage gutter pipeline --- hence wasted. It is like what? A mother has prepares  very good dishes for her only  son, taking too much consideration for the test her son likes. But the son, instead of eating, throughs the dishes out in a waste bin !!! We shall call the son an ungrateful one.    But in the case to save water are we also not committing such ungratefulness ?

Some of us thinks that the government should do this job. I may agree,too. But think a government is what ? Politicians are the government? They are busy giving lectures for to whom the public should give votes. Do the officers on high posts should do this job? They may be busy on how to get increment, bonus, or for any such a matter. Like wise... all persons think that some other person or a authority should do this... But the true son of GOD will say --why not me?

Take for an example how the IZRAELIS save water. They have 3 inches or 5 inches of rainwater during whole a year. It is useless to say they save all  of rain water. But it is very useful to notice they save every drop of water by spreading plastic sheets to collect the water.

We , in India do not require to purchase plastic sheets to spread on the terrace to save water. But very easily we can collect the rain water by piping to drop into the earth. By doing this the water table in the earth will naturally come up. The thirst of the mother earth will be quenched. By this action we shall be able to try to express our gratitude towards the mother earth. If some person gives me some favour, I naturally give him a thanks, but the mother earth gives me all favours readily for twenty four by seven hours,why  shall I not try to express my thanks to her?
