Humse kissi ko pyar nahin…

Independent Principal Domain Consul...

For the enlightened readers a word of caution: this is not an Aawara number.

I have 28 states and 7 union territories.

My population as per Population Commission at 2.49 PM on December 17, 2008 is 1137747946.

I have six national political parties namely Bahujan Samaj Party, Bharatiya Janata Party, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India Marxist, Indian National Congress and Nationalist Congress Party.

I have countless regional and other parties. And they are growing in numbers like my ever growing population. So to provide an exact count at a particular point of time is rather very difficult.

I have the following major rivers flowing into Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea.

Bay of Bengal: Brahmaputra, Ganga, Mahanadhi, Godavari, Krishna, Pennar, Kaveri.

Arabian Sea: Narmada, Mahi, Sabarmati, Indus.

In all, I have 16 major forest types that are recognized, further sub divided into 221 minor types.

I have a NATIONAL ANTHEM, which has been acclaimed as the Best in the world. The pity is no one shows respect – whether it is played in the beginning of a movie or at the end of the movie. There are also arguments whether my national anthem could be played in instruments or orally recited, whether foreigners are also required to sing.

There is no unanimity in anything except in dissenting and showing openly differences.

If any of my children from North India and in particular from Bihar go to North East or to West they are not welcome. All my children south of Vindhyas are nicknamed as Madrasis and they are also despised.

If terrorists strike in any part of the country, my children belonging to a particular religion are afraid. They are afraid of backlash since it is portrayed in the media the terrorists belong to their religion though the terrorists have no religion, no faith, no god, and no country.

Though my limbs were dismembered in 1947 in the name of Partition, I was a bit happy as my children won Independence from alien’s rule.

That was the last time I was happy. The events after 1947 did not make an attempt to make me happy. All the parties, all their leaders, all their followers failed me and themselves miserably.

No one loves me dearly though they proclaim every now and then whenever they are under attack. Like during the recent terror strikes at Mumbai.

That is why I say ‘Hum Se Kissi Ko Pyar Nahin…” I believe you may not disagree with me.
