A feel at Kanyakumari!!
All the places have their own stories and we had our own stories in each places.I just wish to mention in few lines about 'Papanasam' where I really felt 'why am here?'But that was momentary. As soon as I saw the beauty of water in the greens everything turned like this is a must visit place. The water was falling with so much force in agathiyar falls where we were supposed to take bath in the river flowing from there.Among the dark thick green forest the cold of the winter(which is a raining period in tamil Nadu) made me to feel hesitant to get down in water. But as soon as my feet felt the water whole body wished to feel that water of Thamarabarani river. And thats all it was full of joy only the stomach on the stone and rest were set free with the flowing water. The music of the flowing water in the right ear is unforgettable. But after that the monkeys were playing Krishnas there hiding our clothes taking away the bags and of course it was exhausting fight with monkeys to get ourselves in the unwet clothes.Just imagine the situation where you have a small that too an open room(room-like) to change and monkeys are chasing you when half dressed!! An impossible time it was.
Then from there our trip to Kanyakumari and it was all so wonderful on the way from Thirunalveli to Kanyakumari.Nice roads and nice greenery both sides. As soon as we set our feet there we can feel that we have reached the feet of mother India and we feel like bowing. And I could see the ocean stretched far beyond the view from the place where we got down from the bus.I bowed in my heart to that first sight at the place I longed to visit for years.I was excited,so much that that excitement was neutralized by the excitement of the three oceans to tickle the end point of India there.Bay of Bengal leaves the hidden sun to show the beautiful sunrise whereas he goes down for the night's sleep in the Arabian ocean and Indian Ocean flows in between with its own colour.
I wanted to just see this phenomenon of three oceans merging at a point.I am not good at differentiating colours albeit I felt three oceans reflect different colours at this point. The sand is also supposed to be of different colours but I am sad that I forgot the sand in watching the waves that too of three oceans.I couldn't capture the great pictures of what I saw for the live documentary for you as it was bit cloudy and it was evening time for the normal camera to capture it very well.Still there are few pictures which I will put as soon as I can sort out the picture files.
The waves and three oceans was what I wanted to see and after fulfilling that wish till it was dark we did darshan of Bhagawathi amman.I loved the preety nose stud of the goddess. It was burning fire dot or the diamond I couldn't make out.but it was lighting up the face of the deity and an amazing face of goddess in the normal temple for it.I say normal because the carvings on the rock are so so similar in almost all temples in Tamil Nadu.I really get confused how to differentiate all the temples. But it was a great feeling there in Kanyakumari.
I don't have an experience to share on the rock where Swami Vivekananda meditated.Because the boat which was supposed to carry us there was afraid of the raising waves with evening. And there was shoutings and warnings for people who were enjoying bath in three different seas to be careful and come off.So I could see that rock and the statue of Thiruvalluvar from the shore. The only people in the sea were the fishing folks in their boats. They were just on the boat and I felt the waves were flying their boats in the seas.
A lot and loads felt when I was in the place which I always wanted to visit.Happy after the visit and wish to visit again remains now....
