DAY 174 Amitabh Bachchan Blog
Manali, a little late in the evening during the shoot for working title ‘Shoebite’. This is not taken by my mobile, its a more sophisticated camera. The sun was just dipping out after straining itself the entire day. The tree was barren and as the sun slid behind it, I clicked. Looked quite picturesque.
Taj in early November, last year. Abhishek was shooting there and all of us joined him in Agra. It was early morning and we were advised to visit at this hour because it was the time when the crowds were less. No such thing at all. Paparazzi and media did not allow us that moment. On another day I shall post what we see from our point of view. Generally you see what the media wants you to see, or what image suits and fits the story they write. But shortly I shall enlighten you with the ‘view from the other side of the bridge’.
Taj again during the same trip. The weird angle is because of a wider angle lens and it is positioned and framed to keep the media and crowds out of the frame.
Aishwarya, on the balcony of our room in the Hotel in Agra. A glorious place and a glorious view - the Taj faintly seen in the background.

Shweta is excited about the idea of writing in my blog and I am excited to see so many responses that take the trouble of sending in their topics for discussion. I shall now get into the process of assimilating all the views and putting them up to Shweta, for her to choose and write.
Meanwhile, back in the ranch, work continues unabated. ‘Teen Patti’ in the wilds of Aarey Milk Colony. I still struggle with the character, his mannerisms and gait and talk and his get up. Took some pictures to post and hopefully they shall be with you by tomorrow.
There has been some interesting questioneering lately about several topics from the media in print. The guise being ‘we want to do a celebratory extensive piece on your forthcoming birthday’. But within the birthday come other asides too. I found them interesting and responded to them. Ethically I shall wait till they get published before I share them with you on the blog.
And before I leave you -
“Believe where others doubt. Work where others refuse. Save where others waste. Stay where others quit. Dare to be different. Be a winner !!”
“D pessimist c’s difficulty in every opportunity; n optimist c’s d opp in every difficulty.”
The last one came from the wife on mobile…
(and please do not give me a lecture on how i should not be addressing Jaya in this manner. many may not know but in the English language it is looked upon as a most endearing manner of addressing one’s wife)
With love and greetings for the festive season..
