It has therefore prompted me to replace the photograph on the face page and put one that is recent. Hour recent.

This is from ‘Aladin’ and is from a photo shoot for the publicity of the film that was conducted mid afternoon today at Mehboob Studios. The photograph has been taken by Avinash Gowarikar, brother to Ashutosh Gowarikar of recent ‘Jodha Akbar’ and earlier ‘Lagan’, fame. Avinash is a professional photographer. Fast, friendly and efficient. And most endearing. His continuous yelps and screams of appreciation as costume after costume and expression after expression occupied the space he had carefully lit for the moment, most captivating. It is quite essential I believe for those that involve themselves in this line to, also, apart from many other conditions keep the energy at its peak in order to get the desired results.

The one below is ‘Aladin’ too. The striding run is indeed a symbolic gesture of liberation. Liberation from this mad director Sujoy Ghosh. Liberation from hours of wig and cap. From steadily being a mere actor to realising the equation required. Nahhh…. just kidding !! It was fun and frolic at this juncture and I forced myself into demanding a photograph from the publicity, to send to you guys.

I shall leave you with this… but in the morrow, I shall beseech you and cajole you all towards giving an ear to the rest of the day, without distractions. There are many now, but shall improve as we rumble along.
