DAY 566 Amitabh Bachchan Blog
A grim grey London at 6 in the morning, as the flight tears through the soft umbrella of clouds protecting as it were the luminous glaze of the ochre lights of the city, about to open its eyes to another day.
I am in London, for the Head Injury Foundation Charity get together for HH the Maharaja of Jodhpur, Gaj Singh ji an enterprise that shall help those in need of this alarming act which apparently has the largest number of cases in the world in India.
I have arrived a day early and shall depart a day late, because it gives me an opportunity to promote the film PAA through the local media. Its been a busy first day after a 9 hour flight. We concluded 21 media outputs one after the other - electronic, print, radio - and one in Punjabi, which was wonderful; my Sikh antecedents being tested as I speak in the language of Punjabi Balle Balle, the name of the programme.
The brain has been drained to an extreme, the body fights the pain relief drug and the system that shuts down the body for the night has been in operation for the past 3 hours. It is a wonder then that the fingers are moving, involuntarily though, in the formation of this post.
Allow me then to recuperate, to refresh and to liven the memory and brain cells, depleted as they are from the desired break …
